Self Confessed Golf Fan Luke Butterworth Improves His Game at Titleist

Erin Devlin • Aug 11, 2014

Talented Tasmanian Tigers all-rounder, Luke Butterworth, was in golf heaven recently, undertaking a Beyond the Boundary placement with Acushnet Company. Acushnet, known for its world famous Titliest and Foot Joy brands, were the perfect hosts, giving Luke an insight into sales, marketing, operations, production, golf fitting, and customer service.

Beyond the Boundary provides professional cricketers, like Luke, with the opportunity to experience a career or work environment outside of sport, and help plan for the future. Luke’s placement, coordinated by Infront Sports, on behalf of the Australian Cricketers’ Association, was a great opportunity for Luke.

“Having a part in all aspects of the company gave me a bit of an insight into what I really enjoyed and what I won’t pursue later on.  However, there were many things that I was interested in, here at Acushnet.” Butterworth said, “They have been great and have given me a taste of all aspects of the company.”
